Nepal has defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in today's match under the triangular T20 international cricket tournament in Kathmandu. After winning three consecutive matches, Nepal reached the tournament final and managed to defeat the UAE by 5 wickets today.
Nepal successfully chased down a target of 165 runs in the 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process.
In the final contested at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the UAE managed to chase down 198 runs but could only muster 178 runs before losing all of their wickets in 26.5 overs.
Aryansh Sharma scored 32 runs, while Dhruv Parashar top-scored for the UAE with 59 runs off 49 deliveries.
With four wickets, Aakash Tirpathi was the standout bowler for Nepal. Akash Chand and Subash Bhandari took two and three wickets, respectively.
Prior to this, Nepal amassed 280 runs when Captain Dev Khanal reached his century off 92 balls with nine extra-bay knocks and three sixes. Arjun Kumal and Uttam Rangu Thapa Magar both reached their half-centuries, scoring 55 and 57 runs, respectively.
