Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan Issues Notice on Timely Payment Process for Completed Projects

 Bara – The Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City has issued an important notice regarding the payment process for completed programmes and projects, emphasising timely financial accountability.

According to Rule 30, Sub-rule (7) of the Municipality’s Financial Procedures and Fiscal Accountability Regulations, 2077, all payments must be initiated within seven days of a project's completion. In line with this provision, the municipality has announced that any department failing to process payments within the stipulated timeframe will not be allowed to resubmit payment files for the same project.

The notice, signed and released by Chief Administrative Officer Shanti Raj Prasai, calls upon all municipal departments to submit files for projects completed by Asar 20 (July 4) along with all relevant documents. Contractors and consumer committees involved in construction and development works have also been urged to complete their tasks on time and submit payment claims accordingly.

This move reflects the Sub-Metropolitan City's commitment to promoting good governance, transparency, and responsible administrative practices. Furthermore, ward offices have been instructed to present reports of completed works within the designated timeline.

The policy aims to instill a greater sense of discipline and accountability within the municipal administrative system, ensuring that public resources are managed efficiently and effectively.
