Bagmati Taekwondo Dojang Athletes Shine in National and International Competitions

Nijgadh,  Bagmati Taekwondo Dojang, represented by its athletes, proudly brought home medals from the National Taekwondo Competition held in Hetauda, Makwanpur, and an International Taekwondo Competition in Kathmandu. The awards were presented to the accomplished athletes during a ceremony on Saturday, the 26th of Kartik.

The function coincided not only with their achievements but also with the auspicious occasions of Diwali, Chhath, and Nepal Samvat 1144. Also, it included grading programs for both junior and senior players.

A total of 20 junior and 2 senior first-Dan black belt players participated in the grading program. The event was presided over by Dojang Chief Jitan Ismali and was attended by distinguished guests, including Balaram Raut, the Ward Chairman of Ward No. 1, Chandrapur Municipality.

 The ceremony also saw the presence of special guests, such as Shreeram Neupane, the Ward President of the Nepali Congress in Ward No. 1, Ganesh Raut, a member of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) District Committee, Sanjay Lal Shrestha, the Secretary of the National Taekwondo Association - Madesh Pradesh; social worker Talasi Ram Dahal, sports enthusiast Rajendra Waiba, Netro Singhali Magar, the Chairman of the Janata Pravak Vidyala Management Committee, Chandrabahadur Ranamagar, a member of the Janata Pravak Vidyala Management Committee, Vishnu Ram Pandey, the President of the National Taekwondo Association - Sarlahi, Rajesh Khadka, the Secretary of the National Taekwondo Association - Rautahat; Senior Coach Santosh Baniya; Sanu Lama, and the parents of young athletes.

 The program was conducted under the leadership of Senior Coach Rajesh Khadka and promoted the idea that sports are not only essential for physical health but also contribute significantly to the nation. The slogan "Play for Health, Play for the Nation" was emphasized, highlighting the importance of Taekwondo not only for personal well-being but also for national development.

 The chief guest and dignitaries extended their gratitude to the athletes and coaches for their achievements in national and international competitions and expressed pride in the accomplishments of Bagmati Taekwondo Dojang. They also assured their commitment to providing support in the future.

 The event marked a celebration of not just athletic excellence but also the unity and dedication of the athletes and coaches in their pursuit of success. It highlighted the significance of sports in promoting both individual and national well-being, emphasizing the role of Taekwondo in this process.
