Kalaiya, Bara: In a heartwarming display of community spirit and compassion, the Free Clothes Bank extended a helping hand to a newlywed couple in Haraiya Tole of Karaiyamai Rural Municipality Ward No. 1. The bank gifted the young couple with essential clothing items, including a coat, pants, shirt, shoes, ladies' slippers, and a kurta salwar, providing them with a dignified start to their new life together.
Priyanka Das, Chairperson of Biswas FM, the chief media partner of the initiative, and Vice-President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Bara, personally handed over the clothes. Ms. Das emphasized the pivotal role the Free Clothes Bank is playing in the lives of economically disadvantaged couples embarking on their marital journey.
"Human welfare transcends all faiths," she passionately stated, urging everyone to contribute to such noble causes in their own capacity. Her words resonated with the spirit of unity and empathy that drives the Free Clothes Bank's mission.
The generosity didn't stop there. On the same day, the Free Clothes Bank reached out to 14 individuals, including women and children from Dalit, underprivileged, and impoverished backgrounds in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City Ward No. 26. They too received much-needed clothing, bringing smiles and a sense of relief to their lives.
The distribution event in Kalaiya witnessed the presence of Ward Member of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City Ward No. 26, Subash Mia Ansari, along with Priyanka Das. Also present were the patrons of the Free Clothes Bank, Sajir Mansoor, a member of FNJ Madhesh Province, and the bank's President, Mukdam Ansari. Central member of JSP Nepal, Kalam Ansari, and facilitator Priyanka Kushwaha, also joined hands in distributing the clothes.
