Class 12 Exams to Begin from Baisakh 21 Following Government Directive

The postponement comes amidst an ongoing teachers' protest, which led to concerns about the smooth conduct of the examinations. Prime Minister Oli had instructed Examination Board Chairman Mahashram Sharma and Education Secretary Deepak Kafle to delay the exams when they met him at Baluwatar on Tuesday evening.

Previously, the Examination Board had resolved to conduct the exams as scheduled on Baisakh 11, with preparations underway to utilize all available mechanisms to ensure the tests proceeded. However, the Prime Minister's intervention led to the change.

The Examination Board is expected to release the detailed schedule for the Class 12 exams tomorrow (Wednesday). Sources indicate that the board's meeting finalized the new examination dates.
