Pawan Singh, Nijgadh - The first Bikal Regmi Memorial Junior Football Tournament,
currently underway in Nijgadh, saw a thrilling match on the second day as Ward
No. 11 edged past Ward No. 5 with a narrow 1–0 victory.
The match, held at the Shaheed Hiralal Stadium in
Nijgadh-9, remained goalless in the first half. However, the tension broke in
the second half when Sirish Kumar, wearing jersey number 7, scored the decisive
goal that sealed the win for Ward No. 11. His lone goal not only secured the
match but also ensured his team’s place in the quarter-finals.
The young footballer’s standout performance earned him
the Man of the Match title. In a heartfelt moment, the award was jointly handed
over by Ward No. 5 Chair Surya Bahadur Thapa, Ward No. 11 Chair Saiya Guro, and

is being held.
The atmosphere at the stadium was charged with energy and
emotion as local residents and football fans cheered passionately for the
teams, honouring the spirit of youth sports and remembering a beloved community
member through the beautiful game.
