KHOPAWA, BARA – The 7th Village Assembly of Baragadhi Rural Municipality in Bara district has officially passed a budget of NPR 41,90,61,268 for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83. The budget was presented during a session held at the municipality's center in Khopawa on Monday.
The assembly, presided over by Chairperson Ashok Kumar Jaiswal, prioritized key sectors for development. In his presentation of the policies and programs, Chairperson Jaiswal highlighted a focus on the modernization of agriculture, infrastructure development, education, health, employment generation, and social security.
Following the policy presentation, the budget was formally introduced by Panna Lal Sah, the Ward No. 4 Chairperson and local government spokesperson, with the consent of Laxmi Devi Rai, the Vice-Chairperson and coordinator of the Planning Formulation Committee.
The village assembly saw the participation of numerous key officials, including Vice-Chairperson Rai, Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Chaudhary, and Accounts Officer Ajay Chaudhary. Also in attendance were Ward No. 2 Chairperson Jigendra Sah Kalwar, Ward No. 3 Chairperson Umesh Prasad Sah, Ward No. 5 Chairperson Manager Chaudhary, and the acting chairperson of Ward No. 6, Rameshwar Pandit. The session was attended by various department heads, executive members, staff, ward secretaries, security personnel, and members of the press.
Ranjit Kumar Sah, head of the planning unit, facilitated the program. The rural municipality stated that the budget and programs were unveiled with the primary objective of enhancing the effectiveness of local-level service delivery and expanding development infrastructure.
