Bara — Several institutional (boarding) schools operating within Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City have been found admitting students into grades beyond the officially approved levels, according to the municipality.
In response, Mayor Rajan Paudel has made a public
appeal to parents, warning them about such unauthorised practices. Through a
statement shared on social media, he revealed that some schools have even
attempted to manipulate the regulatory process by uploading data into the IEMIS
(Integrated Educational Management Information System) under the name of
another authorised institution.
"Such activities are illegal," said Mayor
Paudel, adding that the sub-metropolitan office has initiated an investigation
and will take necessary action against schools found violating the rules.
Municipality's
Appeal to Parents:
Before admitting their children, parents are strongly
urged to verify whether the school has proper approval for the intended grade
level. If a child has already been enrolled in an unauthorised grade, the
municipality requests parents to immediately transfer the student to a legally
recognised institution.
The list of approved grade levels for each school has
already been publicly shared by the sub-metropolitan office. Mayor Paudel urged
parents to take the matter seriously to safeguard their children's future.
The municipality has
reiterated its commitment to ensuring that educational institutions operate
within legal boundaries and maintain transparency in academic practices.
