Karaiyamai, Bara – The Karaiyamai Rural Municipality has proposed a budget of NPR 437,298,922 for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83, placing a strong emphasis on education, agriculture, and physical infrastructure. The budget proposal was presented by Vice-Chairperson Sunaina Kumari Chaudhary during the 17th Rural Assembly session held on Wednesday, chaired by Rural Municipality Chairperson Shambhu Prasad Yadav.
Vice-Chairperson Chaudhary highlighted that the budget focuses on expanding social services, mechanizing agriculture, improving irrigation facilities, extending rural roads, enhancing school physical infrastructure, and strengthening health infrastructure.
During the assembly, ward chairpersons — Sonal Sah (Ward No. 1), Surendra Chaudhary (Ward No. 2), Parshuram Prasad Yadav (Ward No. 3), Eklakh Babu Ansari (Ward No. 4), Umesh Prasad Chaudhary (Ward No. 5), Rajkumar Chaudhary (Ward No. 6), Brij Chaudhary (Ward No. 7), and Dinesh Chaudhary (Ward No. 8) — shared insights into the current situation, challenges, and priorities within their respective wards.
The rural assembly saw the presence of Chief Administrative Officer Birendra Mahato, Executive Member Surendra Prasad Sah, heads of various departments, employees, representatives of political parties, security personnel, and media personnel. The program was conducted by Birendra Waiba. The rural municipality stated that the proposed budget will be discussed and subsequently endorsed.
