Dambarpur, Bara — In a heartwarming gesture aimed at supporting underprivileged children, Himalayan Bank's Nijgadh Branch organized a school uniform and bag distribution program at Shree Shivashekteswar Basic School, Dambarpur.
A total of 35 students from Nursery to Grade 8, primarily from the marginalized Chepang community, received full sets of school uniforms including shirts, pants, shoes, socks, and school bags. The initiative seeks to ease the financial burden on families and encourage continued education among Chepang children.
The event witnessed the presence of key community leaders and bank officials, including Ward No. 13 Chairperson Surya Ghalan, Madhesh Province Head Sagar Kumar Regmi, Himalayan Bank Branch Manager Som Karki, and Rabin Baral, who jointly handed over the materials to the students.
Speaking at the program, Branch Manager Som Karki highlighted the bank’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. “Education is the foundation of progress, and small steps like this can bring big changes in children’s lives,” he said.
Local leaders and school authorities extended gratitude to Himalayan Bank for their thoughtful support and called for more such collaborations in the future to uplift disadvantaged communities through education.
