Bara: Chayan Gurung, Ward Chairperson of Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City–14, has been honoured as an ‘Outstanding Woman Public Representative’ at the Grand Women’s Conference 2082, organised by the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The honour was presented by former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who handed over a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative token to Gurung during the conference. The event also recognised several outstanding women entrepreneurs, public representatives, and social activists from different fields for their contributions.
Receiving the honour, Ward Chairperson Gurung said the
recognition has further encouraged her to work with greater responsibility. She
reaffirmed her commitment to ward
development, women’s empowerment, and improving effective service delivery at
the local level.
The conference witnessed a
strong presence of office-bearers of the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and
Industry, representatives from provincial and local governments,
businesspersons, women entrepreneurs, and social activists, making the event a
significant platform for celebrating women’s leadership and contribution to
society.
