Pawan Singh, Bara — In line with the spirit and goals of Nepal’s Gen Z movement, young people from Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City have formed a Gen Z Youth City Committee through a local gathering. The new committee aims to empower youth voices and promote social awareness, policy participation, and positive transformation at the community level.
The meeting
unanimously elected Raj Bahadur Thapa as the President, while Kunal
Raj Giri and Sandhya Kharel were chosen as Vice
Presidents. Manish Sapkota was appointed as the Spokesperson
and Sheikh Rizwan as the Treasurer. Similarly, Sujita
Pyakurel became the Joint Treasurer, Bibek Rizal the
Secretary, and Sudip Sitaula the Joint Secretary.
Committee members
include Dhiraj Sarf, Bipul Sarf, Ashish Lamsal, Prince Shah, Angad
Adhikari, Sheikh Safik, Suman Upadhyaya, Gyan Kumar Shah, Akash Waiba, Sheikh
Sahil, Rajendra Silwal, Sonam Sharma, Basu Khatri, Kundan Kumar, Sheikh Pravez,
Sujal Pathak, Dipesh Shrestha, Rojan Simkhada, Nikesh Patel, and Som
Singh.
The newly appointed members were congratulated and offered tika by Samrat Upadhyaya, Chairperson of the Gen Z Bara District Ad Hoc Committee.
During the event,
speakers highlighted the movement’s core message — “Change through Youth
Leadership.” They emphasised the importance of young people taking the
lead in social, cultural, and developmental activities within the city.
They expressed
commitment to make Simara a creative, inclusive, and digitally aware city,
where youth play a central role in shaping the future.
The Gen Z movement has been actively working across Nepal to foster cooperation, social responsibility, and leadership development among young people — inspiring a generation to dream big and act for change.
