The 54th Annual Hopkins County Stew Festival, Hopkins County's biggest annual event, will take place in less than two weeks, and tickets are already on sale.
For individuals aged 13
and older, tickets cost $8 apiece. Thanks to Signature Solar's support,
children under the age of 12 will not be charged for their meals this year,
although they still require a ticket.
Adult sizes S-XXL
T-shirts are now offered at the Chamber office for only $25. A small number of
sweatshirts, tumblers, mugs, and stickers are also available.
Due to the community's
kind-hearted companies, the 54th Annual Hopkins County Stew Festival, presented
by Alliance Bank, has been able to keep its prices low. For some families, the
cost has recently decreased even more.
Children under the age
of 12 will be served for free at the event on Saturday, October 28, thanks to
Signature Solar's kind support, it was announced by the Chamber and Signature
Solar. Tickets are still required for children, which may be purchased online
or on paper tickets.
One Church made a
sponsorship announcement for the Fun Zone, which has activities for kids,
bouncy houses, and gellyball. Children will enjoy themselves for free as a
result of One Church's kind sponsorship!
The Oct. 27 activities,
which feature our appetizer contest and a performance by Dubb and the Luv
Machines, will be sponsored by City National Bank.
We are grateful to all
of our supporters for helping Hopkins County households afford to attend the
stew festival. For spotlights on our sponsors and updates on the stew festival,

Clinic for Free
Mammography
The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation's Free Mammography Clinic is now at capacity. There are now very few available positions. You qualify for a free mammogram through this program if you are a Hopkins County resident over 40 without health insurance.
On the 14, 21, and 28
of October, members of the Ruth & Jack Gillis ladies's Center team at
CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Sulphur Springs will welcome ladies to the
clinic.
If you miss the free
clinic this year, it should return in October of the next year.
An yearly mammography
should be scheduled during October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness
Month. At some time in their lives, one
in every eight women will receive a breast cancer diagnosis. Age-related increases in breast cancer risk
make mammography and early identification of the disease crucial.
To make an appointment if you are qualified for a free mammogram, contact 903-438-4325.
