Nepal Took Sweet Revenge With UAE

 Nepal took revenge by winning the UAE match against Nepal. This revenge also led Nepal to Twenty-20 World Cup cricket. Nepal completed this process by playing extraordinarily on Friday and decided to travel to the Twenty20 World Cup

In February last year, Nepal's journey was stopped in the semi-finals. UAE defeated Nepal by 68 runs in Muscat, Oman. When Mohammad Wasim scored 70 off 48 balls and Vritya Anand scored 46 runs off 23 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes, UAE scored 175-7. In reply, Nepal scored 107 runs in 18.4 overs and was bowled out.

Nepal has qualified for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup on Friday with both of these revenges against UAE. Nepal won the semi-final match of the World Cup qualifier against UAE by 8 wickets. Wasim and Vritya were the main players of UAE. A miraculous over from Sompal Kami saw them both dismissed as Nepal curbed UAE's increasing run rate.

Nepal completed the victory target of 135 runs in 17.1 overs. Asif made an unbeaten 64 to give Nepal victory in an important match. Asif crossed his fourth fifty in 39 balls. He played a total of 51 balls and hit 7 fours and 1 six. Captain Rohit Paudel scored an unbeaten 34 runs. He hit 2 fours and 2 sixes off 20 balls.

Kushal Bhurtel hit 2 fours and was dismissed for 11 runs. Gulshan Jha, who was sent at number three, scored 22 runs off 24 balls and hit 3 fours. Nilansh Keswani and Basil Hameed took 1 wicket each for UAE.

The team that reached the finals of the Asia region was supposed to go to the World Cup. In the other semi-final held at the Trivi Maidan Kirtipur, Oman defeated Bahrain by 10 wickets and secured a place in the World Cup along with Nepal. The target of 107 runs was completed by Oman in 14.1 overs.

Nepal is about to play Twenty20 World Cup after a decade. Nepal previously played the World Cup 2014 in Bangladesh. The next World Cup will be held from June 4 to 30. Apart from Dallas, New York, and Florida in America, there will be 7 places in the West Indies.

After winning the toss at Moolpani Cricket Ground, Nepal stopped UAE from batting first with a score of 134-9. Vritya Arvind, who played despite injury, scored the highest 64 runs for UAE. While batting in the group stage match against Hong Kong the previous day, Vritya, who played despite a wrist injury, hit 8 fours and 2 sixes in 51 balls.

Captain and Mohammad Wasim scored 26 runs. He hit 3 fours and 2 sixes off 16 balls. Alisan Sarafu scored 16 runs and Asif Khan scored 13 runs. Kushal Malla took the most 3 wickets from Nepal. He spent only 11 runs in 3 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets. Keeping the 18th over wicket maiden, he spent only 14 runs in 4 overs.

Sompal took 1 wicket for 15 runs in 3 overs. He picked the ball on his own bowling in the fourth over and ran out the opener Khalid Shah for 3 runs in a direct throw. It was Sompal who took Wasim's wicket. Captain Rohit also took 1 wicket.
