Bara, Nijgadh: The 16-day campaign against gender-based violence came to a conclusion in Nijgadh with a candle-lighting ceremony.
The campaign, which began with a signature collection event, ended with the symbolic lighting of candles, as confirmed by Roji Shrestha, coordinator of the Women, Children, and Senior Citizens Division.
The closing ceremony took place at the Nijgadh Municipality premises, where Deputy Mayor Sommaya Thing inaugurated the event. It was attended by Chief Administrative Officer Rajmani Niraula, local representatives, municipal staff, Taekwondo athletes, and journalists.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness and mobilise the community to combat gender-based violence, with active participation from various stakeholders throughout its duration.
