Nijgadh, Bara – Ward No. 3 of Nijgadh Municipality has honored senior citizens, as well as individuals with severe and profound disabilities, in a special program held on Friday.
The event, organized under the approved annual plan and program for the fiscal year 2081/082 of Nijgadh Municipality, specifically targeted individuals aged 75 and above, along with those classified as severely and profoundly disabled within the ward.
During
the respect program, held at the ward office building, each of the 85
beneficiaries received an electric kettle. Ward Chairman Gokul Prasad Timalsina
stated that the electric kettles were distributed to help beneficiaries easily
access hot water during the cold season. Chairman Timalsina also assured that
electric kettles would be delivered to the homes of those with severe and
profound disabilities who were unable to attend the ceremony.
The program saw the participation of various local dignitaries, including Executive Member Man Bahadur Daseli, Ward Members Khadga Bahadur Khulal, Burgan Kumari Lama, Chini B.K., Jit Bahadur Lopchan, Ward Secretary Subhachandra Mahato, former Jit Bahadur Tamang, and sports coach Man Bahadur Lama.
