Baragadhi – In a bid to support local farmers, Baragadhi Rural Municipality distributed Chaite paddy seeds at a 50% subsidy to farmers within the municipality. The distribution program was led by Rural Municipality Chairperson Ashok Kumar Jaiswal and Vice-Chairperson Laxmi Devi Ray.
Recognizing the importance of timely seed distribution
for better crop yields, the local government took the initiative to ease the
financial burden on farmers. The event saw an enthusiastic gathering of
farmers, who expressed their gratitude for the support.
Speaking at the event, Chairperson Jaiswal emphasized
the municipality’s commitment to promoting agricultural development and
ensuring food security. Vice-Chairperson Ray encouraged farmers to make the
best use of high-quality seeds and adopt improved farming practices.
The initiative aims to enhance rice production in the
region and uplift the livelihood of local farmers by providing them with
necessary resources at affordable rates. The distribution event was marked by a
spirit of cooperation and hope for a more prosperous farming season.
