Nijgadh, May 6th – In a heartwarming display of compassion and solidarity, the Nepal Student Union (NSU) of Nijgadh has stepped forward to support a young boy battling blood cancer.
The
NSU Gaurishankar Campus Unit Committee, under the leadership of NSU Nijgadh
City President Ishwar Sapkota, demonstrated remarkable empathy by pooling
together their own snack money. This collective effort resulted in a
contribution of 5,555 Nepalese Rupees, which was lovingly handed over to
Nikita, an advocate for 14-year-old Binay BK, a student at Karmaiya School in
Bagmati Rural Municipality, Sarlahi, who is bravely fighting blood cancer.
It was a moment filled with heartfelt
support on Monday at Patan Hospital in Lalitpur, as NSU Nijgadh President
Ishwar Sapkota, Secretary Uday Pande, and NSU Gaurishankar Campus Unit
President Dawa Lama, accompanied by other caring friends from Nijgadh,
personally presented the collected funds to young Binay, who is bravely
undergoing treatment there.
This initiative highlights the power of collective kindness and the willingness of these young students to make a personal sacrifice to ease the burden of a fellow young individual facing a serious health challenge. Their act of generosity serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder that even small contributions, when combined with empathy, can make a significant difference in someone's life. The Nepal Student Union of Nijgadh has not only offered financial assistance but also a powerful message of support to Binay and his family during this difficult time.
