Jeetpursimara Begins First Periodic Plan, Calls for Public Suggestions

Jeetpur Bara: Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City has officially begun the process of preparing its first periodic plan for the fiscal year 2082/083. The municipal executive office issued a public notice announcing that the planning process will be made more inclusive, effective, and sustainable by collecting written suggestions from all concerned stakeholders.

According to the municipality, the new periodic plan will include the city’s broader vision, goals, objectives, strategies, resource-mobilisation measures, and programmes aimed at social and economic transformation. For this reason, the city has urged schools, cooperatives, community organisations, local groups, civil society, former people’s representatives, and intellectuals to submit constructive suggestions that could guide the overall planning framework.

In an effort to ensure wider participation, all political parties active within the sub-metropolitan area have also been asked to share their ideas. The city office stated that party manifestos will be treated as an important reference for the plan, and has requested access to municipal and ward-level manifestos published during the 2074 and 2079 local elections.

Mayor Rajan Paudel emphasised that the periodic plan will serve as the blueprint for the city’s long-term development, and stressed that active participation from everyone is essential. He invited all stakeholders to join the upcoming consultation workshops that will be organised as part of the planning process.

For sending feedback and suggestions, the city has designated Officer (VIII) Sudhan Chaudhary as the contact person. Suggestions can be submitted through email or WhatsApp.
