Nijgadh, Bara — The Ward No. 9 office of Nijgadh Municipality faced serious problems after a fire damaged office equipment during the Gen-Z movement protests.
The
fire happened on Bhadau 24, when materials inside the office were burned.
Because of this, the ward office found it difficult to provide daily services
to local people.
To help, three young social workers — Dinesh Shrestha, Ek Lal (Bhakte) Shrestha, and Lalit Shrestha — donated a Dell computer set to the ward office. They handed over the computer to Ward Chairperson Ramchandra Katuwal and other ward members.
Ward
Chairperson Katuwal said the support has made it easier to restart office work
and public services.
Earlier, former Nijgadh Mayor Suresh Khanal helped by donating a photocopy machine. Local young businessman Tej Bahadur Chaulagain (Ram) provided a steel cabinet, while social worker Amar Gyalang Magar donated a revolving chair.
The Groundwater Irrigation Users’ Committee also supported the office by giving an office table and a steel cabinet.
Thanks
to the help from the local community, the ward office is slowly returning to
normal and continuing services for residents.
