RPP Nijgadh Holds Fourth Municipal Convention, Elects New Leadership Team

Nijgadh — The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Nijgadh Municipal Committee, successfully held its Fourth Municipal Convention in Nijgadh. The convention was chaired by Khadga Prasad Upreti and attended by party leaders, local members and supporters.

The event was honoured by the presence of RPP Madhes Province Chairperson Bharat Giri, who attended as the chief guest. He formally inaugurated the convention by offering flowers to the photograph of nation-builder Prithvi Narayan Shah and lighting a traditional oil lamp, marking the official start of the programme.

Several senior party leaders and representatives addressed the convention. Speakers included central committee members Binod Bharti, Sesha Sapkota and Giridhar Chaudhary, Bara District Chairperson Shiva Prasad Timilsina, former central member Savitri Devi Bharti, Ex-Army Bara Chairperson Bam Bahadur Kunwar, Lakshmi Sah Kalwar, Central Training Department member Salikram Timilsina, Local Mobilisation Department representative Lalan Prasad Yadav, and Bara Constituency No. 4 leader Jalil Ahmad, among others.

During their speeches, the leaders stressed the need to strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots level. They also spoke about the importance of nationalism, democracy and liberal values, and encouraged party workers to stay united and active in serving the people.

The convention unanimously elected a 35-member Nijgadh Municipal Committee, showing strong unity within the party.
Keshav Raut was unanimously chosen as the Municipal Chairperson.

The newly elected office bearers are:
  • Vice-Chairpersons: Man Bahadur Sapkota (Rajendra) and Sarju Thapa

  • Secretary: Sita Gautam Upreti

  • Treasurer: Sushmita Basnet

Other elected committee members include Savitri Devi Bharti, Binod Bharti, Bansudev Timilsina, Khadga Prasad Upreti, Bhakta Darlami, Baiju Guru, Khadga Shrestha, Sesha Sapkota, Ram Prasad Timilsina, Nirmal Khadka, Anita Dhami, Renu Raut, Gita Maharjan, Lilamaya Aryal, Padam Shrestha, Narnath Gautam, Madhav Adhikari, Kamansingh Lama, Ganga Nepali, Akash Timilsina, Shiva Pradhan, Parashuram Bhandari, Raju Humagain, Kancha Man Lama, Megh Bahadur Karki, Ram Bahadur Khadka, Gopilala Jimba, Jai Bahadur Shyangtan, Gauri Lamichhane, and Parbati Rai, among others.

After his election, Chairperson Keshav Raut said the party would work to establish RPP in Nijgadh as a strong and organised political force with clear ideas, clear agendas and disciplined leadership. He also committed to strengthening party unity and increasing public engagement at the local level.

The convention concluded with active participation from local leaders, party workers and well-wishers, reflecting strong enthusiasm and support for the party’s future direction in Nijgadh.
