Nijgadh — Youth of Nijgadh, an active youth organisation of Nijgadh, has successfully held its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and unanimously elected a new executive committee. The meeting took place on Saturday.
From the AGM, Santosh Paudel was unanimously elected as the President of the organisation.The newly elected executive committee includes:

The elected members are Mukund Bista, Anish Pokharel, Bipasha Bajgai, Shriram Paudel and
Ravi Karki. The organisation stated that two more members will be nominated later to complete the
committee.
During the meeting, outgoing President Kamal Parajuli presented the annual progress report, while Secretary Ashok Shrestha presented the financial report of the organisation.
The chief guest of the programme and senior adviser of
the organisation, Bhaikaji Shrestha,
said that Youth of Nijgadh has built a strong and positive identity in the
municipality through its continuous social service work. He encouraged the
organisation to further strengthen its role and impact in the coming days.
The newly elected office bearers took their oath of office administered by Jitalal Shrestha, adviser and
coordinator of the election committee.
The programme was held at Shree Ganeshman Park, Mohori, Nijgadh Municipality–4.
The event was attended by patron Prakash
Shrestha, former presidents Khadgaraj
Mainali, Rajan Shrestha, Gangamaya Shrestha, Utsav Shrestha, Iraj Koirala and
Kamal Bajgai, along with other members and well-wishers.
The meeting was chaired by outgoing President Kamal Parajuli. The welcome speech was
delivered by newly elected President Santosh
Paudel, while the programme was jointly facilitated by Manita Pandey and Iraj Koirala.
For the past 12
years, Youth of Nijgadh has been organising a Pre-Holi Concert on the occasion of Fagu Purnima, featuring national-level
artists. In addition, the organisation has been actively involved in providing financial and humanitarian support to
the poor, disabled, underprivileged, chronically ill people and victims of
natural disasters in the municipality.
The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to continue
working for youth empowerment and
community welfare in the future.
